HEARTOPIA TIP 1
Are you on PC? If you are, you can spam F and W to harvest your crops and completely skip the animation. This will save a lot of time. If you're on mobile, just spam the harvest crops button and flick the movement at the same time for the same effect.
HEARTOPIA TIP 2
Speaking of crops, make sure to hold the button down when planting your crops so you can cover at least 3 squares at a time. If you’re level 6 you’ll cover 6 squares, and level 9 will cover 9 squares. This works for watering, and throwing down fertilizer too. To get the most out of this, lay your planters down in rows of 3 so you can speed up the process even more.
HEARTOPIA TIP 3
For PC players, when picking up flowers, click the button to pick them up, and then hit either W A S or D to move one step. This will skip the harvesting animation.
HEARTOPIA TIP 4
Broken cat? Can’t interact with it? Yeah, me too. Just go into build mode and come out again. This will reset your pets.
HEARTOPIA TIP 5
Make sure to change the colour of something like a fence panel BEFORE you start putting it down. There’s nothing more frustrating than having to change individual item colours.
HEARTOPIA TIP 6
When you’ve finished planting crops, instead of standing still, going into your bag and scrolling to look for the item to unequip it. Just swap to a tool and then unequip the tool. It’s quicker, and you can do it on the move.
HEARTOPIA TIP 7
Buy the big pack of fireworks from Ka Ching for 3 stars a piece and then sell them to Albert Jr for big money. You’ll get more stars every day when you do your daily tasks so don’t worry about trading a few for some quick cash every now and then.
HEARTOPIA TIP 8
Speaking of the stars, you can actually buy 50 of them using the blue gem currency in the purchase tab in the shop. This resets every week, so you can buy more again the following week.
HEARTOPIA TIP 9
If you aren’t the biggest fan of birdwatching just go to Baileys house and take pictures of the bird. It’ll fly away after 3 pictures, but you can just turn around and you’ll see it’s perched up somewhere else in his room close by.
HEARTOPIA TIP 10
Speaking of bird watching, if you get the task to take pictures of birds, just spam your camera on the same bird, after 3 it’ll fly away, but most of the time it’ll land nearby. Alternatively, just go to Baileys house and do the tip from before.
HEARTOPIA TIP 11
There’s a secret trader in Heartopia called Doris, she appears in different places depending on weather. She is primarily found near the Art Street area during rain or snow, but moves to the edge of the map, often near the Old Sea or Onsen Mountain, during rainbows.
You can check the weather on your watch so you can plan ahead.
HEARTOPIA TIP 12
Press and hold to select items in bulk when selling or moving items to the warehouse. When you’ve held an item down, you can now start adding other items to your selection list. There is also a button in the bottom left that you can toggle to just select a full stack every time, making this process even faster.

Cats eat fish, so remember that when you’re paying for overpriced cat food.
HEARTOPIA TIP 14
Dogs eat almost anything. When you’re working on that cooking level, just remember you can simultaneously work on the dog pet care level too.

Check on your pets every day, they’ll have a present for you, most of the time it’s money.

Andrew sells vehicles, so if you’re sick of that small car and moped, go check out his store.

Massimo always has a sale on ingredients. If you want to maximise the profit you make when selling your cooked food, check in with him to get an idea of what you should be cooking that day.

It’s not pretty, but three to four ovens facing each other and using all of them at once is a much faster way to grind that level when making foods like jam, salad or mushroom pie. Just be careful when cooking a salmon bagel because they’re hard to keep up with, and you’ll likely burn one of them.

If you’re on PC and you’re holding a tool or seed bag, hold T to put the item away.
HEARTOPIA TIP 20
If you’re about to do an event that requires backpack space, remember you’ve got a warehouse that you can dump items in. Click and hold to select the items in bulk and then just move them over. You’ve got to be back at your house to be able to access the warehouse though.

Alternatively, Ka Ching does actually sell more backpack storage, and warehouse storage.

There’s a road that goes all the way around the outside of the town. In the 4 corners of this road there are big trees that you can get loads of quality timber from. It’s much easier than going to individual small trees for one piece at a time.

Bob has a specific stand in the corner of his shop just for rugs, and they update every week.
HEARTOPIA TIP 24
Speaking of Bobs store, even if you don’t like a furniture set you’re given for that week, buy it anyway. There’s lots of rewards for getting new furniture and getting whole sets. And plus, you can always just sell the set to Albert Jr later.
HEARTOPIA TIP 25
Same with clothes, just buy the clothes, you don’t have to wear them, and you’ll unlock plenty of new item rewards.
HEARTOPIA TIP 26
You don’t need to have unlocked certain recipes to cook them. For example, clicking on Mixed Jam and then choosing all blueberries will create blueberry jam, which will then unlock the blueberry jam recipe. This is the same when you click mushroom pie and then use the black truffles as the ingredients. So you can get some pricey pies made up even before you find the recipe.

If you know you’ll be signing in at some point tomorrow, plant a crop that takes a while before logging out. You’ll come back to some easy harvestable money the next day.

Having others water your crops can give you better overall crops. You can see how many people have watered your crops for you by the diamond above the crop. It’ll have extra sparkles depending on how many people watered them.

Building your house doesn’t cost as much as you think, every wall, window or door you place may cost money, but you’ll get that money back every time you demolish something.

To unlock more space to extend your house, you can buy more plots. Just click on your watch, go into your DG screen, click on button in the top right screen, and then select the plot that’s wiggling. Unfortunately you can’t choose which plot you buy next. You will be required to level up before buying a certain amount of plots too.

For mobile players, turn off shadows in the graphics menu for much better game performance.

For all players, in your graphics settings you can turn off snow for better performance. You’ll still get specific event snowy days, but it just means your day to day will go a lot smoother.

Take your character to bed before logging out so you can begin your next play session with max stamina. But if you don’t it’s not the end of the world, cause you can always eat food.

Keep an eye on that weather app, you’ll be able to see the upcoming meteor and rainbow events to maximise the XP and items you get throughout the real week.

Make sure to check in with Massimo once you level up in cooking, you can get more recipes from him for pretty cheap.

If you’re on PC you can actually go to the community controller settings tab in steam, select any of the highest rated ones. And now you can play the game using a controller.

You can lock items in your backpack so you don’t accidentally use them up in a recipe or sell them.

You can make custom markers on your map by clicking and holding whilst in the map. If there’s a certain spot you love to forage for mushrooms or going fishing, you can just set up the marker, then choose the image and colour. Just leave it on your map and you can track it whenever you need.

Use the top down build mode when doing the exterior of your house. Nothing is more frustrating than trying to put a roof down in normal build mode, and having to climb your house just to reach it. You can get into this mode by clicking the button in the top right. Then from here move your position by swiping on the left side of the screen, and rotate your camera by swiping on the right side.

This one is for those of you who have levelled up your DG and received a message that says “new clothes unlocked in the store”. So this bothered me because I couldn't ever find the new clothes section. But all this actually means is new clothes are in the rotation of clothes you see in the dressing room. So if you go there the next day, you might see a could of new shoes or tops, but you might not.

You can paint a custom profile picture, all you’ve got to do is pick the 3:4 size in the canvas, draw your design, take a photo of it, click to edit your profile picture and select photo.

You can actually glitch your way onto the foggy far island, just stand at the invisible barrier, have a friend ram you through it with their car, now get close to the barrier and use the hand hold emote, then when your friend clicks on it, they’ll be through the barrier too. Now just run in a straight line to the left of the giant rock, and you’ll get to the island. You can use your vehicles here too.

Friends can actually help you level up cooking, after you’ve put the food on the stove, they can stop it from burning. So technically you could have a bunch of people in a row and create a cooking assembly line.

You can create preset outfits, once you’ve got 800 style points in your collection tab (you can do that just by buying a bunch of clothes). Now go to your dress up tab and on the right there will be an option to save preset outfits!

Wild animals will come visit you if you feed them daily.

Check in with Vanya if you want a new fish tank, he sells them.

Golden fish aren’t the rarest. After you’ve caught 5 normal fish, a blue fish shadow will show up. It takes a little extra time to reel in, but once you do, you’ll have a chance to catch a rare fish.

Speaking of which, if you get any new items when you have a full backpack, it’ll get mailed to you instead.

If you’re doing one of your daily tasks but you can’t find the character to fulfil their request, check to see if there’s an event on. I couldn’t find Annie and realised she was at the concert event playing a drum. Unfortunately, you’ll have to wait for the event to be over.

When you’re collecting fruit from trees or bushes, you’ll only get fruit on the first click. The 3 other clicks will give you branches or timber. So if you’re saving energy to forage for ingredients, just click once then move on.

Head to the forest island for black truffles, these ingredients will sell well when made into food.
HEARTOPIA TIP 58
When you’re asked for furniture for a daily task, just make wood fibre mats and give them away instead.

As soon as you log in for the day, track your quests before you do anything. If you have a quest for something like feeding your pet or harvesting flowers and you do it before you track the quest, it won’t count, and then you’ll have to wait a while before getting it done.

You can use almost any item to decorate your home, from music, food items and ingredients, or vehicles. This helps your home look more lived in and realistic.

If you want to get your ice skating level up in the dreams tab, just add a small ice skating rink in your home, now you don’t have to travel to the other side of the map every time.

When in the birds eye view building tab you can click to see what your home looks like in different weather or times of day.

Ok, if you’re ready to slowly grind the birdwatching level to max, try this. Empty your backpack completely, only save some food, and repair kits. Click the event tab and fast travel to the event area at the top of the map. Head over to Blanc and you’ll see he’s got a bird on his head. Now, just throw down a repair kit, pull out your birdwatching gear, and start spamming the button to take multiple pictures of the bird on Blancs head. You’ll get 2xp per picture, but the bird won’t fly away. So just keep going, over and over and max that level out.

Use your car as a platform when jumping to get hard to reach bubbles.

If you need to cook or craft for a request and you’re in the town, there’s a workbench and stove in the centre of town. Both are right by Massimo's restaurant.

The greenscreen wallpaper is perfect for anyone that’s wants to photoshop their character. Just take a picture in front of the greenscreen wallpaper, and then save that picture to your device using the in game buttons.

Cooking is the go to hobby for making the most money, so level that first.

Pet care is the least effective for making money.

When fishing and insect catching the time of day and location you’re in determines what you’ll get. You can check your collections to see where and when a specific creature appears.

To join a friends town from the start menu, just click the small button on the right to see a list of your friends online.

A faster way to fast travel up to the top of the map is clicking go on specific events in the events tab, which currently is the snowman button at the top of your screen. This is a free fast travel too.

After hitting DG level 15 you’ll unlock achievement badges, you can add these to your profile to show off your achievements.

When you’re cooking with multiple stoves the camera rotates and then for some reason you can’t click the stove you’re facing away from. You can turn off the "auto rotate when cooking" option in the settings.

For audio settings, for some weird reason you have to go into the graphics settings.

When your feedback comes in after getting your house rated, sometimes you’ll be told to add more items like hobby items or living room furniture. For a sneaky way around stuffing your house with too many items, make a storage closet and cram in the items you need for more points

Use the wooden wall sculpture beams to create fun feature walls in a room. This way your home will be a bit different from your friends homes. Just be aware that you won’t be able to put any decorations on the wall.

101 You can create a garage by using the wooden beams in the build menu, and then painting a wall in the middle with the vertical panel

If Bob is selling a bike, it isn’t a bike you can ride, it’s just to mount on your wall
BONUS TIP 4
You can actually track your pet. Sometimes you might have a quest to interact with your pet, and now, you'll know where they are at all times.
