If you wanna get up to no good in Crimson Desert don't worry, because stealing and pickpocketing in this game is nice and easy, and here is how you get it done! As always if you don't want to read, you can scroll to the bottom of this post to watch the video!

WHAT YOU'LL NEED
You'll notice that the option to steal an item is greyed out when you hover over items in Crimson Desert, and that's because you're not protecting your identity.

So before you try to start your crime spree, you'll need a mask. Now there's two ways to get a mask, the first is taking out bandits along the roads, sometimes they'll be kind enough to drop one for you. But the easier option is to just head over to the Back Alley Merchant - Grimrak, who will sell you lots of dodgy items.

You can get a mask from him as well as keys that will unlock a decent amount of doors. The Back Alley Merchant is located south of the Hernand Church.

Now you've got your mask you can engage in illegal activities.
STEALING
To steal from a house it's nice and simple, wait until daytime so there's less chance of anyone being home, you can click here to learn how to skip time in Crimson Desert. And then just scale the side of the house, click to open a window, and then climb on through.

Once you've put your mask on you can take whatever you need.
Once you've looted an item a red ring will appear indicating the radius of the area where the crime happened.
You'll need to finish looting and get out of that red radius before the white bar depletes if you want to get away with your crime.

If you don't you'll likely get a fine or have to face the guards.
Side note here, whatever you steal can be sold to Grimrack with no judgement!
PICKPOCKETING
Once you've put your mask on you can now engage in pickpocketing.
Just run and barge into an NPC, then whilst they're distracted you'll see a prompt to pickpocket them. Once you've done this the red ring will appear showing the area of the crime.
Just get out of that radius before the NPC realises they were pickpocketed then you're all good!

You'll likely get coins when you pickpocket, but again, any items can be sold to Grimrack.
Have fun!
